 I've seen and heard some bad things about them, but you hear bad things about every part.
I'm not sure what cranks you can get for your bike or not but I know redline devices are fairly cheap and really strong,
And profiles are awesome but really expensive,

 They have been holding up awesome for pedal slides and crank arms and they haven't gotten damaged from peg grinds so far.
